Timothée Joset Joins IFES Global Resource Ministries
We’re delighted to announce that Timothée Joset is joining the Global Resource Ministry team. These initiatives support student ministry at international and regional levels, and enable movements to effectively live out the IFES vision.
Timothée lives in French-speaking Switzerland with his wife, Natacha, and their young daughter, Agathe. As a student, Timothée was involved in GBEU and VBG Switzerland, SMD Germany, and with the international student ministry of IVCF Canada (while he was studying theology there). He then worked with GBEU in their “Dialogue and Truth” ministry.
He has also been involved in the IFES Big Issues in the University Project and in the Logos and Cosmos Initiative. In this context, he wrote several e-courses on Engaging the University. Beyond IFES, Timothée is associate professor of missiology at the Vaux-sur-Seine Theological Seminary near Paris. He also coordinates a network of francophone missiologists (www.missiologie.net).
Timothée writes: “I am fascinated by the world of higher education and all the joys and challenges it represents for Christian witness. My PhD research explores the history, theology and missiology of IFES. It has made me so thankful to God for the ways he’s used women and men of so many different contexts to make himself known on university campuses.”
In his new role, Timothée will lead and coordinate the Engaging the University global team. Timothée is excited to be working with such extraordinary and passionate people to support IFES regions and national movements as they aspire to strengthen their incarnational, integrated, and intellectually credible Christian witness in a rapidly changing university world. He prays they will be “a learning community committed to the gospel and passionate about the University in all its dimensions.”
